A circular Cornwall cycle trail – visit to the Francis Basset monument from Elm Farm
This brilliant 30 mile circular cycle route incorporates parts of 4 trails; The Coast to Coast, The Redruth & Chacewater Trail, The Great Flat Lode and The Portreath Branch Line. Amazing views that encompass both North & South coasts of Cornwall can be gained from the top of Carn Marth and Carn Brea.
You may know him from Poldark. He was one of the largest mine and landowners in Cornish history with an amazing story.

Approaching Carn Brea from the South East offers a view that will not have changed much since the mines were working.
